New regulation for Indonesian Customs

Brasglobal Logistica and Transportes, member of ALN from Brazil, has sent us the following communication.

Customs Mandatory Data – Tax ID and HS Code

We would like inform that Indonesia customs implemented a new regulation, requiring following data to be included in Import and Export Manifests to and from Indonesia with immediate effect:

Indonesia Imports
• NPWP (Indonesian Tax ID) – to be added in the Consignee column
• HS CODE (minimum 4 digits) – to be added in Cargo Description (first line).

Indonesia Exports
• NPWP (Indonesian Tax ID) – to be included in Shipper column
• HS CODE (minimum 4 digits) – to be include in Cargo Description.

Shippers and consignees are the responsible parties for providing the required information through the Shipping Instruction. We appreciate your efforts to adapt and comply with this regulation.
